List of Immigrants from Canary Islands to Cuba 1800s
More than 15,000 entries in three alphabetical volumes record journeys from the Canary Islands. Most list Cuba as the destination; some name other Latin American countries. This compilation can help you find a person, but an entry should be checked against records from the municipality where that person lived before departure.

The Cuba Research Project combined volumes I, II, and III into one PDF and added optical character recognition (OCR) so you can search the text. OCR can misread a name; check the scanned page when a result looks uncertain.

About & sources
The cover names the Archivo Histórico de Teguise. In an email received on September 26, 2023, Francisco Hernández Delgado, chronicler of Teguise, explained that the three books were a personal compilation made over several years using material from different town councils and the former Museo del Emigrante de Teguise. The books bring those records together; they are not themselves the original municipal files.
To ask about a passenger in the compilation, contact the town council of the municipality where the person lived at embarkation. According to Hernández Delgado, Teguise can provide information about people in the books who were residents of Teguise.

The 2023 correspondence
Hernández Delgado wrote in Spanish:
“Los tres libros que registran una relación de las comandancias realizadas en Canarias, ha sido un trabajo personal que hicimos durante algunos años, recopilando datos de los distintos Ayuntamientos y de los fondos del desaparecido Museo del Emigrante de Teguise, en el que también participamos en su creación.
Para obtener datos de un pasajero registrado en esa relación hay que solicitarlo al Ayuntamiento del que era vecino en el momento del embarque.
Desde Teguise se le daría datos de los emigrantes que figuran en los tres libros que fueran vecinos de TEGUISE.”
