Historia de Familias Cubanas: History of 841 Surnames in Cuba

The book “Historia de Familias Cubanas” is one of the most comprehensive genealogical works done in the Island of Cuba. It contains 841 surnames and their history. This voluminous book is 9 tomes and contains a treasure trove of information for any researcher. This work was carried out by Francisco Xavier de Santa Cruz y Mallén (Conde (Count) de San Juan de Jaruco) and contains genealogical information until the 20th century.

An index to the last names will be compiled and posted by the Cuba Research Project, however for the time being readers can find an index within the book starting on page 2.
