Spaniards living in Cuba exempted from Military Service in the year 1927
This is a list of over 4,000 Spaniards living in Cuba who received an exemption from military service from the Spanish consulate in 1927, under the "Real Decreto Ley de 24 Marzo de 1926 (D.O No. 68)". Many of these Spaniards had already settled in Cuba years earlier, and some never returned to Spain, which makes these records useful for genealogy.

Many of these records include a photograph and additional information about the individual, which can be seen through the catalog linked above. The Habana consulate records include a page and box number.
The Camaguey individuals are mostly listed in the digital note "Quintas y alistamientos, Libro 01139, 1927" and do not include the same level of detail as the Habana records.
