Dates in this database are written day/month/year (31/12/43 is 31 December 1943), with two-digit years; the site shows them as transcribed.
The list was copied from a book that a cemetery worker compiled from burial licenses (licencia de enterramiento).
This list complements our earlier database, Spaniards buried in the Holguin Municipal Cemetery from 1925 to 1946. Some names appear in both, at times spelled differently because the transcribers read them differently.
In some cases the list also records the names of the mother and father and the marital status of the deceased.
Immigrants to Spanish-speaking countries often hispanicized their names, so entries here may differ from the names a person used in their home country.
