1920-1921 Burial Notices Published in Diario de La Marina from the Colon Cemetery
Over 18,000 names from burial notices published in Diario de la Marina for the Colón Cemetery in Havana, transcribed by Lydia E. Reyes.
The notices come from Diario de la Marina, Cuba's longest-running newspaper, and cover 1920 and 1921 for the Colón Cemetery in Havana. Each announcement usually gave the person's name, age, place of death, burial plot, and place of origin, like the one shown below. Each entry records the exact date the notice ran and the edition (M = Mañana, T = Tarde), so you can find the original in the digitized editions. Reyes transcribed more than 18,000 names by hand, so a few may be missing.
