Search death notices published in Diario de la Marina between 1868 and 1960. Search by name, then use the date of the notice to find the original announcement in the newspaper.
The notices come from Diario de la Marina, Cuba's longest-running newspaper, and were transcribed by Lydia E. Reyes. Each entry gives the date the notice appeared, so you can look up the original announcement in the digitized editions below. Reyes transcribed more than 47,000 names by hand, so a few are missing.

A note from Reyes: the cemeteries recorded as Cementerio General, Cementerio de San Lázaro, and Cementerio General de San Lázaro are all better known as Cementerio de Espada.
