This is a collection of 203 Burial Licenses (Licencias de Enterramientos) issued by the Holguin Municipal Court, in the city of Holguin, (old) Oriente Province, for the year 1946. A burial license is a permit issued by an authorized party, in this case, a court, authorizing the burial of a deceased individual.

It does not seem like this is a complete list of all burials in this cemetery (Holguin Municipal Cemetery) for that year. For that reason, this list should be complemented with our other publication: Records of Burials and Exhumations Holguin Municipal Cemetery 1940 to 1946
Usually, these licenses provide more information than the burial books. For example, these licenses specify where the decedent was from, occupation, age, race, name of parents, time and place of death, etc.
