This is a list dating back to 1870 that displays business names, the names of owners (if they are available), and either the business address or the home address of the business owner. Claudia studied History and compiled this list while on assignment for the “Oficina del Plan Maestro de Restauración de La Habana.” Claudia informs us that the information in this list was extracted from the book B. MAY Y CIA., 1870. Almanaque Mercantil para 1870, La Habana, 1870;  the same was consulted in the Library of Palacio de los Capitanes Generales in the Plaza de Armas.

Abbreviations:

Cia = Compañia

Hno = Hermanos

Muy buena información. He encontrado un nombre que coincide con mi bisabuelo y la fecha aproximada en que se encontraba en Cuba pero no tiene segundo apellido. Además se trasladó al interior del país entre la década de 1870 y 1880 pues su hijo ( mi abuelo) nació en Morón en 1882.
